If you are a producer, director or someone working in the production department of a film, however small or big, you need to know film budgeting. As a director or a producer it is important that you have mastery of the budgeting process to control the overall cost of the film and ensure its profitability. If you are a line producer, production manager or production accountant, your skills in budgeting can make you an asset in any film production company.

This workshop spread over 3 weekend’s covers concepts like planning a budget, elements of budgeting and cost cutting methods.

In the course of the workshop, participants will be trained in doing research & finding current market rates for each item as per the requirement of the script.

Aditya Seth

FACULTY

Aditya Seth is an internationally acclaimed independent award-winning Documentary, Short, Advertising & Corporate Film Maker. His documentary Bahadur: The Accidental Brave, on Nepalese labour migration & HIV, won the Best Documentary Award at Dada Saheb Phalke Film festival and was in the Indian Panoroma at IFFI Goa in 2014. Based out of Mumbai and Delhi, Aditya is the President of the Indian Documentary Producers’ Association. Has a sound grounding in theatre & music and has been involved in the making of Short Films, Documentaries & TV programmes in all genres for national as well as international audiences. Was part of the jury at International Documentary Film Festivals in Ontario and Banff. He is also an academic & professor of Film & teaches Filmmaking & related media at the Undergraduate, Postgraduate & PhD levels for the last 20 years. He is also a Course Director with Shift Focus for Short Fiction and Ad Filmmaking Course.  He is an Academic Consultant for University of South Wales, Cardiff, Wales, (UK).
