A critically acclaimed award-winning filmmaker, Arunaraje is a writer, editor, director and producer.  She passed out of the Film Institute of India with a gold medal and was the first trained girl technician to come out of the Institute and the first woman technician in the film industry. She received the First lady Award from the Government and was felicitated by the President along with other First Ladies. Advertising films, documentaries, television serials and features – she has done them all. Her feature films include (the first three as a part of the duo ArunaVikas) Shaque (Vinod Khanna, Shabana Azmi), Gehrayee (Dr.Lagu, Anant Nag, Amrish Puri), Situm (Smita Patil, Naseeruddin Shah), and Rihaee (Vinod Khanna, Hema Malini, Naseeruddin Shah), Patita Pavana & Patita Pavani (Sukanya Kulkarni, Raju Khandagale), Bhairavi (Ashwini Bhave, Sridhar),  Keh Do Na (Simone Singh, Parveen Dabas), Tum (Manisha Koirala, Rajat Kapoor) and Firebrand in Marathi produced by Priyanka Chopra and  released on Netflix last year in 2019.

Saji pillai

Saji joined the Audio Cassette industry in the 1980s when the industry was at its peak. Soon he became well known in the industry for his passion to deliver best quality products approved by the likes of musician AR Rahman, directors Mani Ratnam, Sooraj Barjatya, Karan Johar and ghazal maestros Jagjit Singh and Pankaj Udhas.

His passion, sincerity and integrity paid rich dividends when he was called to join Sony Music in 1996 to set up their Audio Cassette plant in Mumbai. As the Plant Manager he received his training at Sony Holland. He then set up and commissioned a world-class facility with which Sony launched international quality standard audio cassettes in India – Vande Mataram, Kuch Kuch Hota Hain, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and international artists Michael Jackson, Michael Bolton and Mariah Carey to name a few.

He played a major role in Sony’s expansion with the establishment of a new plant in India which manufactured CDs, DVDs, and Bluray Discs that matched the high European standards which was made possible due to the training received at a Sony plant in Austria.
